Alternative cooking methods for the busy cook

Is this a green or just a Seattle thing? If you're going to drive a car or use a dishwasher, why not have it do double-duty. Salmon (not farm-raised!) seems to be the meal of choice, though any other fish would work. Also, thin chicken cutlets, and of course, sliced vegetables. Driving?
